
After his awards as the IEEE Magnetics Society Distinguished Lecturer for 2007, following a rigorous evaluation procedure, Prof. Harris is now the IEEE fellow for his contributions to the science and engineering of microwave magnetic materials. Each year, the IEEE Fellow Committee recommends a select group of recipients for one of the Institute's most prestigious honors, elevation to IEEE Fellow.

Prof. Harris is also an American Physical Soceity fellow since year 2002. He is the 2nd member holding double prestigous fellows after Prof. Carmine Vittoria in CM3IC.
